how can i burn avi files to play on a tv Dvd Player?

have avi files downloaded to my computer and want to burn them to play on my tv’s dvd player. avi files wont play

There is software that you can purchase which will do this, but if you plan on watching alot of these files, I’d just purchase a new Divx DVD player. You can buy these Divx players which play pretty much all video formats (avi, mpeg, etc) and are very inexpensive. You can get them starting around 40 dollars at Circuit City, Walmart, or pretty much any other store that sells electronics. If you look up “Divx Player” on google, you will find many models.
